PaKAt Keeping Music Live - Starring Christof

PaKAt Keeping Music Live - Starring Christof
"PaKAt Keeping Music Live" - starring Christof. Christof, hailing from the lowlands of Holland, was in his early life inspired by his classical singing mother and guitar picking/singing father. Soon he was humming along to Mozart in the back of the car at the age of 5. In October 2007, Christof was lured by the bohemian bright lights and the smoky winding cobble-stoned late nights of Galway, in the west of Ireland. He remained in Galway for 4 years, learning all the tricks and trades as a troubadour, starting off busking and working his way up the ladder. The lyricality of his songs and his voice, abundant in strength and sensitivity, charmed the hearts of all who heard him busking, and he quickly became a popular performer in venues around the city. December 2009 saw him recording an EP with the legendary bass player Trevor Hutchinson (The Waterboys and Eric Bibb) who also produced the EP. The ultra dynamic and tight drummer Dave Hingerty (Josh Ritter, Frames and the Swell ! Season) joined Christof during the recording of his debut EP "Springtime". He launched the EP with the Staves from London. In 2010 he was touring with an Irish band called "Grada", taking him to England, Germany and Denmark. Some flying visits where made to London to support Matthew and the Atlas, Fred and Joel Plaskett. In 2011 he supported the great Tim O'Brien on his New Zealand and Australian tour. Christof played solo shows at Port Fairy Folk Festival and Blue Mountains Folk Festival. Once he got ...

Obama Takes Off The Gloves With Romney In GOP Fight

Obama Takes Off The Gloves With Romney In GOP Fight
Reality has smacked Mitt Romney in the face. President Obama used the power of the presidency Tuesday to ring the general election's opening bell, declaring in no uncertain terms that he and his mammoth organization are ready to take on Romney - whether the presumptive GOP nominee is ready or not. And despite what he may say, Romney is not. The former Massachusetts governor, who won three more primaries Tuesday and is on track to claim his party's presidential nomination in June if not before, is facing a challenge of historic proportions. Just one Republican - Ronald Reagan - has defeated a Democratic incumbent president in the last century. And Romney faces an incumbent with five times more staff, 10 times more money, and the world's greatest bully pulpit. Using that platform Tuesday, the president criticized Romney by name, telling news executives at the annual meeting of the Associated Press that his likely general election opponent supported a "radical" Republican budge! t plan he characterized as "thinly veiled social Darwinism." He accused Republican leaders of becoming so extreme that even Reagan, one of the party's most cherished heroes, would not win a GOP primary today. The president's critique came just one day after his campaign launched a TV ad in six general election battleground states that suggested that Romney stood with "Big Oil." And it all comes amid a Democratic effort to paint Romney as part of a Republican Party that Obama's party is casting as too ...

Scream (Featurette)

Scream (Featurette)
Scream is a 1996 American slasher film written by Kevin Williamson and directed by Wes Craven. The film stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Drew Barrymore, and David Arquette. Released on December 20, 1996, Scream follows the character of Sidney Prescott (Campbell), a high school student in the fictional town of Woodsboro, who becomes the target of a mysterious killer known as Ghostface. Other main characters include Sidney's best friend Tatum Riley (Rose McGowan), Sidney's boyfriend Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich), film geek Randy Meeks (Jamie Kennedy), deputy sheriff Dewey Riley (Arquette), and news reporter Gale Weathers (Cox). The film combined comedy and "whodunit" mystery with the violence of the slasher genre to satirize the cliché of the horror genre popularized in films such as Halloween and Friday the 13th. The film was considered unique at the time of its release for featuring characters who were aware of real world horror films and openly discussed the cliché that ! Scream attempted to subvert.
